Fund Araising

Sun Oct 18, 2009, 2:37 PM
Mister Gregory LaRocque has put up an Ebay auction of some art. The Funds raised are going to Typhoon victims in the Philippines, the homeland of Mr. LaRocque's family. Greg LaRocque is a comic artist who worked a lot on the 80's doing work on Flash, Spiderman, Heroes for Hire and several other books for a long period of time and lately has been doing mostly his own stuff. He's a friend of mine who's a local to my area and I felt I should try to put this out there. I don't know how much he intends to raise he seems hopeful so if anyone wants to bid on some really cool art done by him and some of his buddies here is a link to his Ebay account and the event thingy on Facebook.

4340"Ebay of Greg LaRocque

Unfortunately its damn impossible to post a link from Facebook that doesn't just go back to the main page so instead, if you're interested, search for 'Greg LaRocque' and add him and it outta be on his page somewhere.

I felt if anywhere, this would be a good enough place to post this. If you want to you can repost these links or if you just don't give a crap feel free to spit at me on the street (or if you feel I am just a guilty minded American, that's fine too, I am open to criticism :P).

Any pics in my gallery that look good are because God shone through. Any that don't are because I wasn't listening to Him.

"One man is born a hero, his brother a coward. Babies starve, politicians grow fat. Holy men are martyred, and junkies grow legion. Why? Why, why, why, why, why? Luck! Blind, stupid, simple, doo-dah, clueless luck!" -- Two-Face, Batman Forever

Not the (hilarious subversive) Garth Ennis Hitman series? I can't seem to find any information on Grant Morrison's Hitman book. Which publishing label was it? I'm guessing that it wasn't DC's Vertigo label since it's not listed on their website...

Nah, one of the final Scenes from the Book "Hitman." Absolutely awesome series done by Grant Morrison during the lat 80's to mid 90's. One of the few things from that time in Comics that was really good.

There are things no one will understand, as a matter of fact, I don't believe it's truly possible to know anything at all. The reality you have to face is realizing that nothing you know matters and yet everything you know is the truth, if not always fact

Oh crap, you're right. I thought of the wrong name :P

Garth Ennis, Hitman. The name seemed similar in my mind.

I've got one of the Hitman trade paperbacks, I've been meaning to get some more. The whole take on why Batman's such a lousy hero is hilarious, and Section 8 is the best hero group ever.

Don't worry about it, I get the two confused all the time. In fact I usually confuse Garth Ennis with Warren Ellis of Transmetropolitan.
